Shark Survival Birthday Party
For Logan’s birthday we were tasked with building a shark themed party in January! So, we had to break out the creativity since all water/pool themes and activities were out the window. When we started going down the route of surviving a shark attack the birthday survival kit was born.

Logan was an extremely active kid so we wanted the kit to have interactive type materials.
INSIDE THE SHARK SURVIVAL KIT INVITATION:
The shark repellent was apple juice, food rations were shark gummies and lifesavers that we repackaged to fit the theme.
We then included the SPSAT (Shark Party Survival Assessment Test) to include all the necessary birthday info.
This really set the stage for the fun we had in store!
We had the MOST fun coming up with activities for this shark survival themed party!
SHARK TEETH FOSSIL AREA:
We started with the Shark Teeth Fossil Area because before you can survive you need knowledge! We had petri dishes of shark teeth labeled for examination and a big sand bucket where kids could dig up and collect their own shark teeth to take home with them.
FEED THE SHARK:
We built a custom shark mouth, complete with bloody teeth for good measure and the kids threw chum (aka red bean bags) into the sharks mouth.
JAWS:
Onto the favorite game of the day, Jaws! We set up an area complete with bamboo and “beware of shark” signs with a blue tunnel that kids could crawl through. The Jaws theme music would play and whoever was caught in the middle when the song stopped was caught!!
PIN THE FIN:
Kids were blindfolded, spun around and then tasked with trying to pin the fin on the shark. Let’s just say that shark wouldn’t be able to swim LOL
FOOD:
Jaws themed cake, lifesaver doughnuts, shark fin jello cup and ocean water (blue raspberry juice).
The kids had a blast!!
