
Voss Salon has built a reputation around their amazing stylists. Rachel knew that if her stylists were happy their guests would be happy as well. At Voss you won’t find them catering to only blondes or brunettes or one type of texture. Around Texas it’s known that everyone can be a Voss Babe!
After achieving success with 3 salon builds, Rachel was looking to have more cohesiveness in her brand without losing the equity she’d already built up. This was especially important because she was in the process of building her 4th location.

MODERN. MINIMAL. ELEGANT.
We focused on really defining who the Voss customer was so that the color palette, patterns, texture and brand visuals would be able to provide a firm base for the next salons she would build. A Voss Babe is a girl’s girl who is fun and approachable but likes the finer things in life. Her mom, and also her biggest supporter, is where she gets her sense of style from. Modern and elegant.
A NEW LOOK
Because there was already equity with recognizability built up in the former logo that Rachel DIY’d (just the type treatment), we didn’t want to change any of that. Not to mention the cost in new signage! So I focused on building an icon to go along with the type to supplement what was already established. This way she would give the brand more maneuverability, especially in the various mediums brands need to account for today, while setting her apart from other luxury salons who do focus on type solely.
MODERN PATTERNS BUT BIG ON PERSONALITY
A robust collection of patterns and textures were curated to capture the modern, elegant yet fun natured vibe of a Voss Salon. We brought to life the essence of a Voss Babe in the flyers, menus, business cards and other marketing materials by bringing that personality into each of the designs. The selection of these helped her choose artwork and make interior design choices for her build and guided how she would transform the other salons to feel like they all belong to the same brand.
